Womens & Girls Football
Women’s and Girls football is the number one sport in England. Development in this fast growing sport has focused upon increasing participation, improving levels of performance, and widening access to football. This is achieved through three key areas: Club Development, Education Development and the Football Workforce.
A developing network of Charter Standard schools offers progression into Charter Standard clubs. In this section you'll find information on how you can take part, whatever your age or level of ability.
KickStart
KickStart is a coaching scheme designed for 10 - 16 year olds of all abilities who have already played football at school. The KickStart course is a way of introducing football to girls through qualifty sessions whatever their starting ability.. The courses aim to provide a structured pathway from school to club football.
Centre of Excellence
Trials are held annually in three regional locations, Salisbury, Chippenham and Swindon for girls playing in under 12, under 14 and under 16 football.
Those selected from the trails are then invited to attend 4 further weeks of assessment in Devizes. If successful then players are expected to attend the full centre for a further 20 weeks based in Devizes, on a Monday evening, 5.30pm – 7pm.
