Talent Academies
The first Talent Pathway sport and self development programmes for junior netball players in Wiltshire have got off to a flying start this year. Jointly run by Wiltshire Netball Association and WASP the programmes are designed to give players between 12 and 17 years old a broader understanding of certain aspects that have a significant affect on an athlete, such as nutrition, injury prevention and time management. They also cover the different elements of fitness and training to give players a greater knowledge of how to improve their own performance.
The Pathway is being run through three under 14 satellite academies & one county academy, with each having between 17 and 25 players.
Players and coaches all seem to be really enjoying the programme so far and players are already benefiting from the sessions. Look out for future champions!
If you have any queries or questions regarding the talent pathway or anything on Netball Development please feel free to contact me.
