A lot of the people working to deliver sport and activity are coaches, teachers and volunteers. With this in mind we aim to support and provide opportunities for these individuals; developing their skills and helping to attract volunteers to their clubs.
LDA CPD Programme
National PE and School Sport Strategy – CPD Programme 2007/8
The new CPD programme contains details of modules that are now on offer to all Wiltshire and Swindon Primary Schools to support the PE Sector during the 2007/8 academic year. The one-day courses are targeted at all primary teachers from foundation stage through to KS2 and enable access to TOPs resource cards. There are a range of modules which cover activity based programmes covering all the main activities within the PE programme, the majority of which include a key theme which underpins the training; how does learning in and through PE and School Sport contribute to whole school improvement and raising standards.
School Sport
Initial involvement in organised sport often occurs in a school environment, either as particpant or by providing parental support. Information and good practice to raise awareness.
